Mallerstang

We’re Mallerstang, a Carlisle, Cumbria-based rock/metal band writing songs built to stand up live. Our sound sits between modern rock and metal — heavy, direct, and unapologetic.

We’re often described as gateway rock/metal, and we own that. Big riffs, solid choruses, and songs that hit without losing their bite. Nothing overworked, nothing watered down — just music that holds its ground at volume.

Based in Carlisle, Cumbria, we operate a bit outside the usual lanes of the UK scene, which suits us fine. We write from experience, play to rooms, and judge everything by how it lands when it’s loud and physical.

We’re not here to chase trends or dress things up. We write, release, and play shows. If it hits, it stays.
More anthemic. Less pandemic.
